Fifty Shades of Grey Photo Contest

I thought we would let you gals have some fun with our next giveaway/contest.  We’re having a photo contest!  Yes, we want you to take photos in exchange for prizes, glamouresque style!

For those of you who don’t know, Glamour magazine for many years had a piece at the back of their magazine - where are you reading Glamour?  Readers would submit pictures of where they took their Glamour magazine.  You’re on a trip to Paris and you get a picture of yourself holding the magazine up in front of the Eiffel Tower.

We thought we would switch it up a little bit, here are the basics: take a picture of one of the Fifty Shades of Grey books in an interesting place or setting.  Submit the picture to us via email, Twitter or Facebook.  Mags and I will choose our favorite picture.  The winner will receive a Fifty Shades of Grey handcuff and tie necklace. Simple, right?

Rules

Here’s what you need to do.  Take a picture of one of the Fifty Shades of Grey books in an interesting place, setting or a compromising position. You don’t need to travel or anything, but you MUST be creative.  Traveling is encouraged though, mostly because I like to travel.  It can be any book in the series, hard cover or soft cover.  I wont eliminate the option of using an ebook, but if I can’t see the cover of the book on the screen then it wont count.

Please keep the pictures clean, as in not offensive or pornographic.  We would like to post the winning picture on the website and if it’s of you having sex while holding Fifty Shades of Grey then we can’t post it on the site and you wont win if I’m traumatized either.

So, what are we looking for?  You guys and gals surprise me everyday with the stuff you come up with so I don’t know, but I’ll know it when I see it.  But things like exotic locations, silly poses, and giraffes might earn you extra points.  I like to travel, see people go out of their comfort zone and I think giraffes are cool.  So if you manage to take a picture of a giraffe from a helicopter in Africa with your book you would have a really good chance of winning.

The picture MUST be your own.  No going around stealing peoples pictures off the internet.  If it is on the internet there is a good chance we’ve seen it already.  If you are caught using someone elses pictures you will be disqualified from the contest.

Multiple Entries are permitted.  However, they must be different pictures and settings.  Don’t take a picture from each side of the Eiffel Tower and submit them all.  But if you took one from the ground and one from the top, that would be acceptable.

Prize

Here’s the fun part…  You win a handcuff and tie necklace from BrulezRulez.  BUT, if you knock this out of the park, I will up the prize.  I’m not sure what I will up it too, it wont be a trip to Seattle or anything crazy like that.  But an Amazon Gift Card wouldn’t be out of the question. And if I get more then one really cool entry, I may giveaway something else too.  Nothing big, probably just one of our Laters, Baby T-Shirts.  But I do want to put that on the table too.

Closing Date

While many of you could walk out your door and take a cool picture today many people cannot.  And since we want your very coolest pictures we’re going to give you time to find cool places and take your spring break vacations.  All photos must be submitted by May 9, 2013

How to enter:

You can enter via Email, Twitter, or Facebook.
Email – email the picture to latersbaby50@gmail.com
Twitter – send picture to us at @50Latersbaby, it must either be a DM or Mention and it must say it’s a contest entry.
Facebook send us a message or post to our Facebook page, again you must tell us that it is a contest entry.

After you submit your entry I will email/message/tweet you back to let you know we received the entry.  If you do not get a reply then you were not entered.  I will try to get back to you within a few hours, but give it a day or two before you start checking to see if I got it.  This step is VERY important.  If you don’t hear back from me it’s because I didn’t get it or because I couldn’t get in touch with you.  If I can’t get in touch with you, you could have the coolest picture in the world, but I can’t send you the prize.  Keep this in mind when you enter the contest, if you don’t check Twitter much, then entering via Twitter may not be your best option.  At the end of the contest if we don’t hear back from you within 10 days then we will award the first prize to someone else.

Other information about the contest.  We do want to use your pictures on the site.  And in particular we have every intention of posting the winning picture on the site, Facebook, Twitter.  If this is an issue for you, please let us know when you submit it.  We wont hold it against you, but we will try to find a compromise where we can still post the picture or at least part of it.
