According to the website Entertainmentwise.com , E.L James, who is currently worth approximately 32 million dollars, recently splurged on what is certain to be the first of 3 colts.  The first colt has recently been purchased and is said to be name “Fifty Shades of Grey”.  The other 2 colts, to be bought in the upcoming year will round out “Team Fifty”.  Each horse is allegedly going to be named after each one of E.L’s books.

I don’t know about you gals and guys, but I’m sure her kids would prefer another type of horse, as in horse power, under the hood of an R8 maybe?

Congrats on the purchase of the first of your 3 colts E.L.. May they be as swift as Ana when she is out maneuvering the unknown stalker!

BTW people, what would you name the horses?  Keep of clean!

Niall Leonard, E L James’ husband, did an interview with Thestar.com, not to be confused with STAR, the trashy magazine.  What I liked about this article is that we find out that one of the scenes that they acted out (though I think this was a choreography thing, not a sex thing) was the car scene.

E L James answered a question with Katie’s Social Wall and said she has a cameo role in the books.  I’ll answer what role at the bottom of the post incase you want to look first yourself.

In this article from StarTribune we learn that the “L” in E L James is for her middle name.  I always assumed it was for Leonard, but you know what happens when you assume.

On Monday night Erika had an event in Soho House in New York City, entry into the event required wearing a handcuff.  My favorite line from the Business Insider article is that her friend said “Oh, you dark, dark horse,” in regards to her writing the novel. She’s also working on re-writing her first book and would like to write a paranormal romance in the future.

Esclava’s True Meaning

The other night I’m reading Fifty Shades Darker and I’m up to the scene where Christian takes Ana to the salon, Esclava.  That got me thinking, is that just an exotic name?  No, according to the Wikitionary it is NOT.

Esclava is Spanish for slave.

Dr. Flynn and Freud could have a field day with this one!

An animated video of Fifty Shades of Grey.  It’s not really work safe, I could tell I was looking over my shoulder at work to make sure no one saw what I was watching ;)  The music is creepy.

A nice, spoiler free, review of Fifty Shades Darker.  My review is that even on the third read I had trouble putting it down.

A radio station has created a list of videos/songs for you to listen to while reading Fifty Shades and stuff…
The inclusion of Father Figure creeps me out a bit, I think I’ll have to listen to the song before I pass judgement.

I found a review of Fifty Shades Darker, I haven’t seen many of these.  If you haven’t read the book yet you might want to skip this.  Although it doesn’t give any spoilers, it does talk generally about what happens in the book.

Oh no, it’s time to start debating who will play Jose. So far Mark Salling, Michael Trevino and a few other names have been thrown out.

And I have to start thinking about Directors too.  This article had me interested until they mentioned Robert Pattinson playing Christian Grey.

Happy Mothers Day!

NorthJersey.com has a nice article about Fans vs Critics.  No matter what the critics say, the author wins if the people like it.

EOnline wants to know if Fifty Shades needs and advisory sticker.  First, do we normally label erotica?  Second, doesn’t that start to fall under the category of censorship?  Anyone have thoughts on that?

The New York Times Bestseller list shows Fifty Shades of Grey taking up 4 spots – 1, 2, 3 and 8 with the whole trilogy.
