In November I traveled to Australia and being the dutiful blogger that I am, I scouted out the Fifty Shades of Grey Lingerie collection that was released their earlier this fall. The collection is available at Target Australia, which for the American’s is quite different than Target here in the US. In Australia it’s more a clothing store with some other stuff: beauty products and home goods. Here’s what I liked about the collection:
- It’s reasonably priced. Panties were priced $12-$15, bras were priced around $35, shirts around $15, the pajama sets $30 to $50 – Australian Dollars (a bit cheaper in US Dollars – take about 10 cents off on each Australian Dollar)
- It covered a wide range for all styles. You don’t want to take your love of Fifty Shades to the streets – you can buy pajamas – ranging from a T-Shirt and shorts to a sexy but not overly revealing chamise. Bras were sexy, but not too flimsy that you would only wear them on a date night. There was an assortment of styles of panties from thongs to full coverage panties. Like cotton, they had that. Or you could get panties that tied on the side for a more interesting night out.
- The lingerie wasn’t just for small skinny girls. While I did hear some girls complain that their size wasn’t offered, I did find the sizes covered a pretty big range. But since the sizes in Australia are different, I didn’t really take note of how big they went.
- Taking a quick look online at the new Kappahl collection that is available in parts of Europe, I didn’t find the two collections to be dramatically different.
The rest of this post will primarily be photos of the lingerie, most of which I took in the dressing room on two or 3 visits to at least 2 different stores (it was raining one day, I had to kill a little time!) I’ll start out with the pajamas and then move to the more risqué stuff. I’ll try to keep them bunched by color and or style.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the pictures, let me know if you have any questions. I am not sure if you can order from another country and have it shipped out. But if you’ve been successful at doing that please let us know.
