One night when I was ready to start a new book I decided to take to Twitter to choose my book. I gave 3 options and Hopeless by Colleen Hoover seemed to get the best response and since I already actually owned it, I read it.
As usual, it didn’t take long to read. Although I was a bit concerned about Holder at first, I quickly fell for him. And the relationship he has with Sky, well, they’re just so funny together. Sky is pretty awesome too, especially considering she was sheltered from the outside world for so long.
It’s young love, as in High School kids. I was a little worried about that at first, maybe they would be too young for me to “get them.” But for the most part, they’re both more mature for their age and first love is first love, no matter the age.
There’s a bit of a mystery element to the book. You’ll see some signs of it throughout the book. Some of it was a little easy to guess, other pieces, not so much. But the reward is in the process of the reveal, so whether you guess it or not, you’ll enjoy the book.
I laughed, I cried (and I don’t cry often when I read), and I got another bad night of sleep because of Sky and Holder. So, just read the darn book. But, I wouldn’t blame you if you waited a bit to read it so it’s fresh in your mind when the story from Holders POV comes out in July. It will be available in paperback on May 7.
