What is your name?
My name is Dimara
How did you come to read Fifty Shades of Grey?
Well, I had knowledge of Fifty Shades book because I saw some TV news that talked about them so I got really intrigued, so I Googled info about them and saw that it was a trilogy and most of all, that they came from Twilight fanfiction. I got more excited because at that time I was really passionate about Twilight Saga and all of that (I’m still in Twilight’s fandom though).
So, couple of weeks later I got the books to read them on my cellphone, then I remember that, in that exact same week, I talked to one of my dear friends/twilighter about FSOG books, and she told me what I already knew about them and even she had the fanfiction in both language; Spanish & English. So she sent me both versions of the fanfic & I decided to read them as a fanfic first and then as FSOG later.
And what can I say? I instantly fell in love with the story & all that came with it.
By the time I finished book 3 of the trilogy (in that time I had already read the fanfic version once & as the FSOG books once too), I was OBSESSED with them. Like, I was even starting to planning a fan page & starting to join into the fandom. I was just crazy hahaha and the funny thing that I have friends that are Twilighters and they really love FSOG books too, so for me it was a nice thing because I could talk to them about it and they will share that with me too. So was a quite fun way, how I discovered these books.
Did you read an actual book or an ebook?
I wish I had read the actual books, but unfortunately I read them as eBooks. I discovered these books, I wasn’t a reader, so it wasn’t like I would run to the book store and just buy them just like that hahaha. But now, I had the joy to read Fifty Shades of Grey & Fifty Shades Darker in paperback, I just have left Fifty Shades Freed to read on paperback hahaha.
Which is your favorite book in the series?
I definitely have to say that my favorite book from the trilogy has to be Fifty Shades Darker.
Is just that, in that book, so much happens between Ana & Christian’s “new relationship’’, Christian opens up more with her, the romantic relationship that they start on that book, is just amazing, because although they still have that Dom-Sub relationship, they are more involved as a real life couple. As “partners’’ if we can call it like that. I know that in Fifty Shades Freed has a lot of story to tell too and more situations, but, Darker, has a really good details to tell.
What is your favorite scene in the series?
ARRGGGH WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME? Hahaha Seriously, I cannot choose, I had read these books several times, that I still cannot choose a very favorite, top scene. But if I have to choose choice, I will say that my favorite scene is, in Fifty Shades Darker, when Ana has already decided her answer to Christian’s marry proposal. That moment, when she goes to the store and buys the Seattle-Yes key chain, and she’s so determined about her decision, and most of all, when she gives it to Christian as one of her birthday gifts to him. I mean, that moment is like, perfect, because besides she still has some fears & doubts about their relationship and Christian’s way to be, she in her very deep own, knows that no matter what, she will always love him.
How many times have you read the series?
Ha! Well, I think that 5 times, but I’m reading them again, because of my twitter page, so… ;P
Outside of Fifty Shades of Grey, what is your favorite book, series or author?
Well, I have a BUNCH! You definitely cannot do this to me!!!!
Is so difficult, because I feel that I don’t have a favorite book, series or author, the ones I have read
I have really liked them so.. hahaha but right now I’m obsessed with this:
* Crossfire Series By Silvia Day.
* Gabriel’s Trilogy By Sylvain Reynard.
* Beautiful Bastard Series By Christina Lauren
* Beautiful Disaster By Jamie Mcguire
I have others that are outside of the erotica theme too though 🙂 that’s why I think I have no favorite hahaha I love them all.
If you were to meet E L James today, what 2 questions would you ask her?
– Jeez!!! Why only 2? Haha, Okay; so I think these 2 questions would be:
1.- When the last movie of the trilogy comes out, and when all this journey is almost over, would do these two things:
*****would you tell the fans of the trilogy: who were the first actors that you had in mind when you were writing the story as FSOG and then who were the first actors that you had in mind while you were doing the casting for the movie?
*****And would you do a guide with specific details that neither in the books or in the movies are full explained, but you know them and you contributed in to the film?
2.- We as fans of you, know that you are such a fangirl just like us, that you love interact with us. So if you go back to the point to start to write FSOG books again, would you write them again on fanfiction?
Have you had any unique experiences because of your love of Fifty Shades of Grey?
I think I haven’t had unique big experiences because of FSOG, But I definitely can say that right now, the greatest experience that I had until this time, is that I have met via Twitter really nice, fun & sweet people that love the trilogy & I am really happy that now, they are like my good friends & I hope I get to meet them in person one day and of course I hope I can get more awesome experiences because of FSOG.
What scene are you most looking forward to in Fifty Shades of Grey The Movie?
Humm… besides, the obviously ones, such as The Interview, Elevator/FuckThePaperwork, The RROP,
I think I have to say that I’m very, very excited to see the scene when Ana & Christian are in Georgia, Ana wakes up and Christian says to her “I want to chase the dawn with you’’ and after that they go gliding. Definitely I am very excited about that scene. I love so much that one.
