I met Milena when we talked about how out of the loop she feels being in Serbia, apparently not the hot spot for Fifty Shades of Grey. But, I’m sure there are lots of fans there, and if not well she has friends here on the internet.
What is your name? Milena.
Where are you from? I’m from Serbia (that’s a small country in South-Eastern Europe best known thanks to Novak Djokovic who is from Serbia).
How did you come to read Fifty Shades of Grey?
Well, that’s a longer story. First of all, I was writing a book before I even heard of FSOG. Then my BFF came and one day mentioned me that she is interested to read FSOG. She passed that interest on me too so I read a short description about “Fifty Shades of Grey” on the site of an online bookstore. I liked it at first sign but I was moneyless that time. Later the same BFF who first mentioned me FSOG sent me a message that she read the first part and that “knowing my sensibility and character,” that FSOG isn’t a book for me. I was sad but she knew me the best! Meanwhile, I continued with writing my own book. But, when my BFF came to visit me, I showed her my latest chapter of my book out loud and told me:”You’re a new E L James! I misjudged your sensibility!” And then I was sure what was my next step! 🙂
Did you read an actual book or an ebook?
I read a paper book (I bought a box set)!
How many times have you read the series?
I read every book only once, so once. 🙂
Which is your favorite book in the series?
I’m hopeless romantic person, but, in this case, “Fifty Shades of Grey” is my favorite part of trilogy! I like the way how everything begun! 🙂
What is your favorite scene in the series?
Ana and Christian’s first meeting in his office! When both of them felt for the very first time unexplained feelings! Also, Ana’s birthday gift to Christian (“Darker”)!
I haven’t red “Grey” yet but from the short part of Christian’s POV in “Freed” I liked how he “accidentally” came to store where Ana works! 🙂
Outside of Fifty Shades of Grey, what is your favorite book, series or author?
Difficult question. Every book I read so far had something unique. But, if I had to chose, I’ll choose “Gone with the wind” by Margaret Mitchell, “Me before you” by Jojo Moyes, “Thoughtless series” by S C Stephens…
My favorite writers are Guillaume Musso, Alexandra Potter, Amanda Quick and many more!
If you were to meet E L James today, what 2 questions would you ask her?
1. I’d ask her for an advice how to be better in writing (because I’m writing my second book).
2. How is she dealing with all fame that FSOG brought her.
Have you had any unique experiences because of your love of Fifty Shades of Grey?
I met a lot of people who share the same passion for, not only FSOG, but the other books as well! I also comment and suggest books to people! 🙂
What was your favorite scene in Fifty Shades of Grey The Movie?
The negotiation scene!
What scene are you most looking forward to in Fifty Shades Darker The Movie?
“You wanted heart and flowers! You already have heart…” In one line the official proposal scene! 🙂
