I’ve been following Tina on Twitter for years, she’s fun and between Bronco football games you’ll find her tweeting about Fifty Shades of Grey.
What is your name? Tina
Where are you from? West Jordan, Utah
How did you come to read Fifty Shades of Grey?
I have never read an actual book before. All my reading has been audio books. Well living in Utah you can imagine that Fifty Shades isn’t too popular. I got tired of hearing about all the hate regarding this series so I decided to purchase it. Once I started, I couldn’t put the book down. I found myself reading at work, at stop lights, in the movie theatre and even the car wash. I was obsessed or shall I say “Greysessed” I ran out and bought Darker and Freed before I was finished with Fifty Shades.
Did you read an actual book or an ebook?
Yes, I read the actual books but I have also listened to them on audio.
Which is your favorite book in the series?
This is a hard question. I’m sure, like many fans I love each book for different reasons. I think if I was forced to choose it would be Freed.
What is your favorite scene in the series?
This is not a hard for me to answer, seeing how I’ve read the scene over and over again. It’s from Freed, starts on page 355. It’s Ana’s birthday/Ray’s accident scene. I love how for once Christian doesn’t have any control, he’s helpless. I love the line, “he’s rudderless-my lost boy dealing with events beyond his control.” He can’t manipulate or predict the situation. When they arrive at the Heathman I love when Ana says, “How often I have thought about that first night and morning I spent with Christian Grey? I stand there in the entrance to the suite paralyzed. Jeez, it all started here.” The way that Christian takes care of Ana just melted my heart.
How many times have you read the series?
Probably way too many times. I’m not sure, but I would have to say at least 5.
Outside of Fifty Shades of Grey, what is your favorite book, series or author?
I’m a huge fan of the Crossfire Series. There is just something about the Gideon Cross. I’m not only a fan of E L James and Sylvia Day, but also Sylvain Reynard, Shayla Black and Maya Banks.
If you were to meet E L James today, what 2 questions would you ask her?
Only two, lol? If I were ever blessed to meet the talented E L James I think I would be way too scared to talk to her, I”m sure I’d make a fool of myself. I think I would want to ask her if I could be her shadow for a day of the Fifty Shades of Grey press junket and I think I would ask her if I could buy her a cup of coffee seeing how we are both huge coffee fans.
Have you had any unique experiences because of your love for Fifty Shades of Grey?
I have been given the opportunity to meet the most amazing friends from around the world thanks to the series. I’ve also received a lot of backlash from friends and family because they stat it’s not good to read a book that the LDS church has deemed filth. If they would only read it they would see that it’s a beautiful love story.
What scene are you most looking forward to in Fifty Shades of Grey The Movie?
Of course there are too many scenes I want to see in the movie, my favorite is when Ana tells Christian most of all she wished he would stay and Christian shows up to a crying Ana. I love that he breaks his own rules yet again and stays. I also hope they put in the movie when Christian says, “another first Ms. Steele.”
