A few months ago I reviewed Remind Me by Ann Marie Walker and Amy K Rogers, today I’m reviewing the sequel, Release Me. I was quite sucked in by Hudson Chase in Remind me and at the end with a bit of a cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to read Release Me. Like I often make my own readers do in their community interviews, I always like to choose which are my favorite children, ummm, I mean books in a series. So far I will pick Remind Me in this series as my favorite, but Release Me certainly delivers too and makes me want Reclaim Me to come out sooner than October.
Release Me picks up where Remind Me left off, but I won’t tell you where that is dear reader, I know many of you have not read Remind Me yet. So trust me on this one, and I’ll admit, if I was writing Release Me I might have written it differently. This is why I don’t write fan fiction… Ann Marie and Amy take the book in a better direction then I would have.
Release Me is realistic enough, and yet fantasy enough – the great combination where you’re not saying, “that would never happen” and being able to completely buy the characters like they’re real. This book offers high drama, love, romance, laughs and a little adventure too. There is also just enough dumb girl and boy to make that all happen in the perfect way that keeps you wanting more Hudson and Ally.
If you’re all caught up with Remind Me, there is not time like the present to read Release Me! And never fret, the final book in the series, Reclaim Me, is coming out in October.
From the Publisher:
The second in the “seriously sexy and sinfully steamy”* Chasing Fire series, about a pain too deep to forgive and a passion too hot to forget…
Alessandra Sinclair knows that Hudson Chase is the last man she should want. The boy from the wrong side of the tracks has grown into a man who would do anything to get ahead, even if it means breaking Allie’s heart. And now that they’re working together, keeping her distance from Hudson is almost as impossible as keeping her feelings in check…
Hudson already lost Allie once and he refuses to lose her again. He’s determined to use their new business partnership to rekindle the spark he knows is still there. Only the closer he gets to winning her over, the clearer it becomes there are still secrets that could tear them apart for good…
