Nearly three years ago, just after starting this blog, I found Ann Marie Walker on Twitter. She was an early fan of Fifty Shades of Grey and doing some fun stuff, like interviewing Christian Grey. A couple weeks ago I posted the cover reveal of her new book that she wrote with Amy K Rogers, Remind Me. I have finally finished the book and it is absolutely fabulous!
Hudson Chase, Sigh… Allie Sinclair, the girl you think you want to be until you see her real life, umm, I mean real fictional life. They met years ago, they had chemistry then. I promise, they have chemistry now. Lots and lots of chemistry (fans self). And just when I thought I figured out where the book was going, it takes a totally different turn and keeps me guessing. Heck, even the teaser for the second book, Release Me, takes the reader in a different direction than I ever imagined.
The book is very well written and has the perspective of both Hudson and Allie. The transitions between the characters are great, effortlessly switching between them sometimes mid scene. Each character has a strong and capable exterior, and their own set of issues to fight on a personal level. They are and can be great support for each other, but will Ann Marie Walker and Amy K Rogers let them? I guess I’ll have to read Release me and Reclaim Me to find out.
