About a year and a half ago I read and reviewed Wallbanger by Alice Clayton and declared it a great hide from the cold winter read. It is a light and easy romance with lots of humor. Alice Clayton has delivered again with the sequel to Wallbanger, Rusty Nailed. If you have not read Wallbanger, skip this post and go back to reading Wallbanger, it’s a great story that sets the stage for Rusty Nailed.
Alice is great at making both main characters: Pink Nighty Girl and Wallbanger, lovable in all of their crazy faults. While Wallbanger was a story of a new romance, Rusty Nailed takes the story to the next step – having a relationship. What? You want a new romance and not all the shit that comes with a “relationship.” Rest assured, Alice uses her gift for humor to bring the relationship to life, as both Caroline and Simon try to navigate their own lives and bring their lives together. Clive may have some of his own issues in the story too! Yes, that was a teaser that is supposed to make you curious about what happens to him. I hope it worked.
If you’re looking for a deep meaningful read that will change your life, this probably isn’t it. But, if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere and need a book for your beach vacation, this is a great one! You’ll laugh, then you’ll laugh some more. Then you’ll say, Spongebob Handbird!
