It seems in the less than 48 hours since the digital release of Fifty Shades of Grey I have received a lot of questions about watching Fifty Shades of Grey on iTunes (and other digital options).
First and most important! You canNOT watch the unrated version or the extras unless you are on wifi. All of those are streamed and several people have complained about them being slow and “buffering, buffering…”
A couple tricks I picked up along the way:
I downloaded the movie onto my iPad and iPhone and then went to download onto my computer. Strangely, iTunes does not show that you own a movie if you’re browsing said movie. Or at least it didn’t for me. I had to go to my purchase history and then download from there. You see where you find the purchase history in the first image on the right side of the iTunes store page. The second image shows that you have to click the little download cloud to actually download the movie.
You’ve downloaded the movie, now you want to watch the unrated version. Make sure you’re on wifi, if you are, when you go to start the movie you should have this screen. The screen is similar to the screen that shows up on the iPhone and iPad.
If you do not have the bar on the bottom showing “play,” “unrated version,” “extras,” “cast & crew,” “related” you may need to update your operating system for your iPhone/iPad.
Now just click on someone like Christian Grey and you’ll find the stuff just about him!
Happy watching, let me know if I missed anything!
