Back in November I met Ruth Clampett at Indies Invade Philly and bought a copy of her newest book, Wet. I’d been interested in reading a Ruth Clampett book for a while so a soon after I finally sat down with Wet. Also while I was chatting with Ruth, she was lovely enough to offer to do a giveaway with Mags and I, that giveaway is posted below and offers one signed copy of Wet (US Only) and 3 ebook copies of her series Work of Art. On with the review…
Wet tells the story of reformed sex maniac, Paul. Paul meets Elle, who is not a reformed anything. I’ll admit, there’s a little part of me that wishes I was as forward as Elle, she’s a lot of fun and goes after what she wants.
Although it’s obvious that they both want each other, a set of circumstances and character flaws gets in the way. What results is a fun and enjoyable story where you can escape from life for a little while. The story is realistic enough that you won’t get caught up in thinking, “this would never happen,” but not enough that you’ll worry it will happen to you.
But, you’ll probably never go on Tinder again… It’s a light fun, easy read for a cold winter day while sitting by the fireplace. Or while sitting on a warm tropical beach with an umbrella drink.
You must be at least 17 years old to win
The signed copy of Wet is only available for US readers (or those with a US shipping address), if you win first prize and do not have a US shipping address, you’ll be offered an ebook copy of the Work of Art series by Ruth Clampett (there are a total of 3 copies available as prizes).
Contest closes at 12 AM on January 25th
I must hear back from the winners by January 29th at noon or the prize will be awarded to another winner.
Thank you to Ruth and good luck to everyone!
